Pinewood Mill

Fully serviced, 6,000 sq ft woodmill on-site

The Pinewood Mill is an on-site, fully serviced, modern and flexible facility providing high quality machinery for a range of materials, with experienced craftsmen on standby to help service your production requirements.

The facility provides 6,000 sq ft of space on-site, with a range of traditional to high tech machinery, including a 5-axis CNC machine and a cube. The workshop is also equipped with an advanced extraction system, LEV compliant for effective and sustainable waste disposal.

As well as the space and equipment offered, there are two highly experienced wood workers working permanently in the Mill, offering expertise, service and advice if required.

Following significant investment, the Mill has been refurbished, returning to its roots as Pinewood’s on-site service for productions. The Mill has recently serviced such high profile productions as Star Wars VIII, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and Detective Pikachu.

Going back to our roots

The history of the Mill dates back to 1936, designed as part of the original studio by Charles Boot and James Sloan. The Studio was designed to have eight sets of stages and in the middle of these were prop makers, dressing rooms and ancillary services such as the Carpenters Workshop, complete with its own Mill.
