Schools Outreach Programme

Pinewood and Shepperton Studios is committed to offering careers advice and support to all local schools and colleges.  Careers Events are also held annually at both sites to help educate young people about the fantastic opportunities available to them, not only within the Pinewood Studios Group, but also the creative industries.

Pinewood and Shepperton Studios works together with local schools, colleges and universities by attending careers events, assemblies and talks and offering advice.

A 'New Entrants Guide' has been created to help guide people when considering a career within the creative industries.  It covers what work experiences and apprenticeships may be available within the Pinewood Group and offers advice about taking those first steps towards a creative career.

This is available to everyone on request by emailing Kathryn Donovan, Community Liaison for the Pinewood Group.

“Khalsa Secondary Academy School would like to thank Pinewood Studios for hosting a Careers Opportunity talk to our Year 11 students.  Students were empowered by the information that Pinewood provided and were excited to learn about the fantastic work opportunities that the Studio has to offer. KSA thrives to encourage students to become creative and inspired thinkers and the discussion did just that!" KSA Careers Consultant

“The Beaconsfield School were very pleased to have a representative from Pinewood Studios at our recent careers assembly talk to years 9 and 10. As a school we are driving our careers programme forward and encouraging young people to think about their future career options. It was fantastic for Pinewood Studios to get involved in this process with us and discuss the many, varied careers on offer at the studios!”  Year Leader for 10 & 11, Beaconsfield School

“It is so important for students to know the opportunities available to them in a wide range of sectors. Having information about how to embark upon pathways to a variety of jobs is invaluable in helping them to make decisions which will affect their future. Thank you so much for coming to explain the many different jobs and work experience opportunities available at Pinewood.”  Assistant Head, St Joseph’s Catholic School'

“It is only with your enthusiasm that we can make these young people think about their futures and ultimately their choices. It was wonderful to see all the students so enthused about different career areas and making them think about their options for GCSE’s at the same time and getting involved in the ‘Have a Go’ activities that were available to them.”  Project Executive, Learning to Work

“We just wanted to let you know that the feedback from our students was overwhelmingly positive and that was due in large part to you sharing your career experiences and expertise with the students.”  Careers Department, Northwood School
