PINEWOOD CREATIVE SPONSORS BRITISH FILM DESIGNERS GUILD AWARDS
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of its foundation, the British Film Designers Guild held its glittering inaugural awards ceremony in the Ballroom at Heatherden Hall, Pinewood on 28th January.
Pinewood Creative were a sponsor and were also proud to design and create the physical awards. Pinewood’s own Mark Hackett presented the Best Production Design for a Television Drama to Michael Howells (Production Designer), Fabrice Spelta (Supervising Art Director) and Tanya Bowd (Set Decorator) for their work on “Victoria”.
Special presenters on the evening include actors Bill Nighy and Jeremy Irons. Nighy paid tribute to the amazing work of the art department and set decorating teams on every film he’s worked on, commenting: “When I’m handed a prop or walk onto set, I know there’s a whole world of thought behind it – it makes it real for me…”
