Scott of the Antarctic (1948)

The archive and restoration team supported a 2K Restoration for Blu-Ray from original 3-strip Technicolor elements and in its original 1.33:1 ‘Academy’ ratio.

Produced in 1948 by Michael Balcon and one of the first films to be filmed in Technicolor, Scott of the Antarctic remains a truly enthralling and heartbreaking account of the ill-fated 1912 expedition to reach the South Pole by Captain Robert Scott, and a typically British attitude remains at the heart of the film.
