Robin Hood

Stages A, J, B and W at Shepperton Studios housed sets required to replicate key portions of London and, most notably, the Tower of London, at the end of the 12th and the beginning of the 13th centuries. Shepperton’s Backlot was transformed into medieval England, a huge, impressive castle reigning over the land.

At Pinewood Studios the Exterior Tank and Underwater Stage where used to complete shots of the French Armada and it’s landing that were impractical or too dangerous to achieve on location.  The Paddock Lot, F Stage and the Gardens were also used by the production to recreate the middle ages.
