Dancing on Ice (Series 6)

ITV brought the sixth series of ‘Dancing on Ice’ to Pinewood with a new set and  format it broadcast live in HD for the first time from the 25,000 sq ft J & K stage at Shepperton Studio's

The 50,000 sq ft of total stage, accommodation and location space enabled the production to have everything ‘under one roof’ utilising Shepperton’s resources and on site tenants. J Stage housed the newly designed ice rink for the live show, whilst the adjacent K stage housed the training rink and full catering facilities.

The accommodation attached to the stages provided a secure environment for talent dressing rooms, costume and make up departments, production offices, green rooms, meeting rooms and ITV’s online media (with connectivity provided by Pinewood ‘s partner Sohonet). In addition the production was able to site a large complex Avid tapeless record and edit facility adjacent to the stage to provide the turnaround of near live clips for inclusion into the live transmission.
