Role synopsis

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Infrastructure Technician Apprentice to join our IT team here at Pinewood Studios Group. In this role you will work directly for the Telecoms Manager and in partnership with the wider IT team.

You will be responsible for supporting the Telecoms Manager with the day to day running of the studios from an IT infrastructural perspective, whilst learning about systems and protocols related to the delivery of comprehensive IT support systems.

Principle accountabilities

Assist the Telecoms Manager with the day to day running of all three studios

Learn about analogue, TDM and IP telephone

3

Learn about complex IP networks and the standard protocols

4

Learn about large scale optical fibre and copper networks, including fault finding

5

Assist with the installation of copper and optical networks, including their termination

6

Learn about structure cabling

7

Learn about Dslams and DSL

8

Learn about the maintenance of CCTV

9

Support the Head of IT & Cyber Security in the day to day management of IT service support

Qualifications

 

-       GCSE Maths and English

Experience

-       No professional experience required

 

Technical knowledge

-       Basic computer skills, including MS Office

-       Willing to learn and apply knowledge into practical work

 

General

-       Able to commute to Pinewood and Shepperton Studios

 

 

Role location: Pinewood Studios

Some travel may be required and ability to commute when needed between our UK sites, mainly between our Pinewood and Shepperton studios on an ad hoc basis. We provide transport from nearby tube and mainline rail stations to the studios. 

The salary for this role is up to £10,500 per annum plus a competitive benefits package including an annual bonus.
