Reporting to: President of Pinewood Atlanta Studios

As Head of Finance & Accounting, you will be the go-to expert and resource for all things in the finance, accounting and risk management space at Pinewood Atlanta Studios (PAS). You will work side-by-side with all leadership delivering financial reporting and transparency across the business including financial management reports, cash flow and working capital analysis, metrics, dashboards, leading indicators, etc. Driving some of the most critical pieces of the finance function, this role will have a significant impact on the company’s operations. 

Reporting to: President of Pinewood Atlanta Studios


  • Develop, implement and oversee the performance of Pinewood Atlanta Studios’ financial strategy & accounting operations.
  • Resolve organizational financial problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Partner with leadership to establish and evaluate Pinewood Atlanta’s strategy for developing products and services that position Pinewood Atlanta as a leader in the film and TV industry.
  • Maintainup-to-date knowledge of financial standards, industry trends, and best practices. Identify accounting trends and evolving behavior that may support or impede Pinewood Atlanta’s success.
  • Lead the financial team through coaching, mentoring and developing employees for a more effective skill-set and work environment.
  • Advise key members of senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget. Provide value added cost analysis, insights, and process improvements.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, outlooks and forecasts.
  • Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and investment decisions.
  • Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the annual budget process, including review, analysis, roll-up, tracking commitments, labor capitalization & actual spend, as well as, providing reporting to operation leads.
  • Provide analytical support to Pinewood Atlanta’s internal management team including development of internal management reporting capabilities.
  • Establish operational accounting services such as cash management, accounts payable, and client billing.
  • Develop executive dashboards and KPIs.
  • Analyze the impact of proposed solution on people, processes, systems.
  • Manage relationships with insurance providers and ensure compliance.
  • Manage tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
  • Establish and monitor direct report’s performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
  • Inspire, mentor and develop team using a supportive and collaborative approach.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing organization-wide financial strategies aligned with organizational strategy
  • Adept at vendor management, contract negotiations and fiscal management
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, influencing, decision-making, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with management-level peers as well as other employees
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • High level of confidence and poise with a strong service orientation
  • Excellent management, decision-making and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to carry ideas through execution using sound strategy and pragmatism

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a senior financial management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • CPA certification
  • Background in strategy and innovation
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills


  • Experience working in a growing business environment
  • Extensive experience in the film, television and media industry
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree


  • This job operates in a professional office environment
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers


  • This job does not require travel


  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles
