Previously known as the Preview Theatre, it was renamed the ADRIAN BIDDLE THEATRE in memory of the late Adrian Biddle BSC, Director of Photography. The new name was unveiled in a ceremony held on Wednesday 29th July 2015 attended by the Biddle family and Neville Shulman CBE, long-time colleague of Sir Ridley Scott, as well as members of the British Society of Cinematography and industry colleagues who worked with Adrian.

Adrian Biddle BSC (Director of Photography) had a successful early career in television commercials, before moving into feature films in 1985 as Director of Photography on James Cameron’s Aliens. Adrian went on to light many successful movies such as The Princess Bride and Willow before working with director Ridley Scott on the acclaimed Thelma and Louise, for which he received numerous nominations. Adrian continued to be in demand for features, working on as many that shot at Pinewood and Shepperton including Judge Dredd, Event Horizon, 101 and 102 Dalmatians, Fierce Creatures, The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, and The World Is Not Enough.
