The stage is the highest at 50 ft, and the second largest at Pinewood, purpose-built to serve the needs of both film and television production.
'The Richard Attenborough Stage' was officially opened on 23rd April 2012. Pinewood is proud to honour Lord Attenbourgh CBE, legendary British actor, director, producer and former President of BAFTA, whom Pinewood and Shepperton Studios have hosted for films such as SOS Pacific, Gandhi and Shadowlands.
