Filming Locations

Pinewood Studios is built around Heatherden Hall, the Georgian style mansion with its beautiful gardens, fountain and a picturesque lake, while the interior contains a spectacular wood-panelled boardroom and ballroom.

Black Park, which shares a boundary with Pinewood Studios, has featured in a number of films including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Robin Hood and Casino Royale.

Inside the Georgian style mansion, Heatherden Hall, there is a spectactular wood-panelled ballroom that has featured in many films. It is also used for conferences and events.

Dating back to the early part of the nineteenth century, the oak panelled ballroom still boasts its original oak sprung dance floor. Impressive features include a raised stage area, crystal chandeliers, open fireplace and French windows leading out onto the terrace and gardens. Three arched panelled doors open onto the adjoining Pools Theatre.

Heatherden Hall has been sympathetically refurbished and offers spectacular wood panelled boardrooms. Used for both meetings and location filming.

Club Bar

Originally the gun room, a cocktail bar was added and eventually it adopted the name The Club Bar. With a grand sandstone fireplace and leather chairs the bar is used for location filming as well as a meeting place during working hours catered by Couture.

Pools Theatre

The Pools Theatre, is a split-level auditorium and banqueting suite which interconnects with the Ballroom. Now used as a location for filming as well as conferences and events within Heatherden Hall, it was originally a Swimming Pool and Turkish Bath.

It was part of the Heatherden Club which was established when the Canadian financer Lt Colonel Grant Morden, a political high flier transformed the mansion, and it became became a retreat and private meeting place for politicians and diplomats.

The South Corridor links production offices, dressing and makeup rooms to A, B, C and D Stages - the first four stages to be built at Pinewood in the late 1930's. Used as a location for many films where it has doubled as hospital corridors e.g. the Carry On films / The Descent  (Neil Marshall Horror)

A Georgian-style room with an ornamental fireplace, white columns and French windows leading into the gardens. Built originally as the dining room, it retains many of the original period features. This room now acts a filming location and fine dining restaurant called  - The Couture Dining Room.

There are a number of buildings at Pinewood that have and can be used for filming locations. These include the Coach House, East Side Complex, The Stanley Kubrick Building and many more.

Pinewood Studios is built around Heatherden Hall, a Victorian house built in a Georgian Style. Over looking our formal gardens, the exterior of the old house is often used as a location.

Surrounding Heatherden Hall are formal gardens with a picturesque lake, fountain and bridge which have set the backdrop for both historical and contemporary films, TV productions and commercials.

Black Park

Adjacent to Pinewood Studios are the vast heath and woodland areas of Black Park. This 500 acre site owned by Buckinghamshire County Council offers a wonderful back drop to any production requiring an exterior country setting and has been used recently by Casino Royale and Stardust.
