The first official shot from Skyfall has been revealed today. The shot features Daniel Craig as James Bond from a scene set in Shanghai.
Skyfall, from Albert R Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. It is directed by Academy Award® winner Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig, who returns for his third film as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007.
Joining Daniel Craig the cast includes Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw with Albert Finney and Judi Dench as M. The screenplay is written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and John Logan. Skyfall will begin its worldwide roll-out later this year in the UK and Ireland on October 26th and in North America on November 9th.
Skyfall, like so many 007 films before it, is shooting at Pinewood Studios on the world famous Albert R. Broccoli 007 Stage, as well as many other stages. The 007 stage was named on December 5th 1976, when it played host to filming for The Spy Who Loved Me. It measures 59,000 sq ft and has housed huge sets from a number of the Bond films, including Die Another Day, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
