The Iris Prize award, sponsored by The Michael Bishop Foundation, offers the winner the largest LGBT short film prize in the world at £30,000. The winner also is invited back to the UK to make another short film, utilising the best filming equipment and facilities available in the country.
Fell-Holden was also awarded the Best British Short for Balcony. The award, which is sponsored by Pinewood Studios, offers the winner a package of sound post production services at Pinewood Studios, as well as being invited to join the 2017 panel for the Iris Prize International Jury.
It was also announced at this year’s awards, by Iris Patron Lord Glendonbrook, that the Iris Prize will next year be increased from £30,000 to £50,000.
The 10th Iris Prize Film Festival took place on Sunday 16th October in Cardiff.
