Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios is proud to host the Johor Bahru Classical Music Festival 2017 under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Tunku Tun Aminah binti Sultan Ibrahim.
The festival will be taking place on 27th-29th July, with the first two days spent at the Amari Johor Bahru, and the final day of the festival at Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios on Stage 4.
The Johor Bahru Classical Music Festival 2017 invites listeners on a journey to experience classical music that transcends generations, soundscapes and cultures.
This year they explore the synchronisation of influences, styles, and ideas – illustrating music at its most universal, as it tells stories of the times we find ourselves in (or out of) sync.
The day at the Studios will consist of two performances:
3 PM - Journey to the West Side performed by the Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia
- Eric Lee, Conductor
8 PM - A Thai Odyssey performed by Siam Sinfonietta
- Somtow Sucharitkul, Conductor
