Lantica Media announced today [17 July 2015] that the film 47 Meters Down will begin principal photography this summer in the Dominican Republic at Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios.
The underwater thriller, produced by Mark Lane and James Harris for The Tea Shop & Film Company, will utilize the 60,500 square foot horizon water tank. 47 Meters Down is the first feature film to utilize this impressive new facility. The announcement was made by Lantica Media’s CEO, Antonio Gennari.
47 Meters Down is written and directed by Johannes Roberts and will star Claire Holt (The Originals) and Mandy Moore (Tangled). James Harris and Mark Lane of the London-based The Tea Shop & Film Company are producing and Dimension Films is set to distribute. The film is co-financed by The Fyzz Facility and Lantica Media.
