Teddington Studios
Teddington has been a hub for production since the silent film era but it wasn’t until the late 1950’s that the studios began recording and broadcasting television programmes.
Since then the studios have been constantly updated to accommodate advancements in technology - from black and white to colour through to digital and widescreen, and more recently the UK’s first HD television series was recorded at Teddington Studios.
The development of the studios continues, to ensure Teddington will remain renowned as a premiere facility for the output of light entertainment, sit-coms and quiz shows.
The complex combines 8 digital television studios, including 5 channel presentation studios, with a wealth of experience in both pre-recorded and live television.
The 2 larger studios at Teddington are equipped with SD or HD facilities, a variety of support accommodation and flexible audience seating for up to 300. Our purpose built digital presentation studios accommodate a host of channels, broadcasting up to 24 hours a day.
The studios can be linked to BT Tower or any chosen Uplinker. They also have broadband capabilities, enabling producers to offer viewers the choice to participate interactively.
The studios are located on the banks of the Teddington Lock, in close proximity to the high street. The variety of accommodation, shops and restaurants in the local area make Teddington an attractive venue to both audience and crew. Teddington offers good public transport links, as well as direct access from the M3, M25 and the surrounding regions, so we are easily accessible from both London and Heathrow.
